Estonia is a country located in the Baltic
region of Northern Europe.
Estonia is a country located at the heart of the Baltic Sea Region - Europe's fastest-growing market of more than 90 million people. It is a country described by political and economic stability, accessibility, ease and low cost of doing business and investor equality. It borders Finland to the north, across the Gulf of Finland, Sweden to the west across the Baltic Sea, Latvia to the south, and Russia to the east. The territory of Estonia covers 45,227 km² and population 1,34 million.
Since 2004 Estonia is a member of the European Union.
Transport and logistic
As Estonia has been an important transit center since the medieval ages the country's favorable geographic location, along with its developing infrastructure, offers good opportunities for all transport and logistics related activities.
Food, construction, and electronic industries are currently among the most important branches of
Estonia's economy. In 2007, the construction industry employed more than 80,000 people which makes up around 12% of the entire country's workforce.
